Definately. His presence was such a big part of my love for the last two, not that I think KMFDM couldn't do good work without him, because they have (Angst, MDFMK), but he definately is a bonus.

KMFDM has produced some great albums with Ray (Nihil) and some great ones without him (Angst). At the same time, I thought Attak was pretty mediocre other than Preach/Pervert so his presence doesn't instantly guarantee a good album.
In the grand scheme of things, I think I'd rather have him work on a new Pig album than FUBAR. But if he manages to do both, I'm ok with that, too ;D

I don't care as long as he puts out.

Personally Attak is one of my favorites. And Raymond is the kind of artist that's in so many different bands and projects, that I don't care WHERE I hear him, as long as I get new music from him. Pig is just one side of him as far as I'm concerned. I discovered him through KMFDM, so hearing him there means as much to me as hearing a Pig album. I guess I'll just hope for the best!

I don't care as long as he puts out. He puts out alright! Maybe he'll take another leave from KMFDM while he does work on his own. And DONT get me started on MDFMK!!!

Am I seriously the only one who likes that album? It seems no other long term fans do.

i like mdfmk a lot. it is very different from some of kmfdm's stuff so i can see why it could put someone off, but i really like it.

i'm with most of you, i don't care what he does as long as he's making music. buuuuuut, let's remember a solo pig tour is not likely. *crosses fingers for kmfdm*

If ray isn't I'm hoping that KMFDM would bring in Chris Connelly to sing on some songs. Love the vocals he does on xtort. About MDFMK I got it awhile back out of the $5 used bin and didn't play it very much. I've been playing it the past couple days and it's a lot better than I remember it being. Maybe because I'm now used to Tim Skold's vocals.

Yeah, that's one of my fav CD's of all time. I think Skold gets a bad rap. He's one of my favorite musicians. I think he brings alot to the table. I credit alot of Manson's new stylings to him, which I also like very much. I think he's one of those artists that just fashionable to dislike.

Agreed. I too like Skold. But his best work was on his solo album, I think. Well, either that or MDFMK. Its a close tie.

I hope he will be on Fubar, but Raymond did mention a new pig project in an email to me last year, so maybe he wont be or will get sidetracked again...

It would be nice to hear both.

But lets face it Skold will always be branded as having a Yoko Ono effect on the group which most fans to this day carry with them. As a whole what the hell has Skold done before KMFDM/MDFMK a bunch of butt rock and as a whole a craptacular solo cd. Manson needed a new weirdo and who better than Skold? KMFDM doesn't really recycle members. I see no reason why Raymond won't be on another KMFDM release.

True, but the definition of KMFDM has changed over the years. It used to be Sasha, En Esch and whoever had time. Now-a-days, there's a set band and since we've seen Raymond on and off for so many years, most people, including myself would like the continuation of his collaborations and input into the music. Even if it is just his voice. Frankly, if he's not on the KMFDM album, I'm going to be deeply disappointed.

after thinking about it, i can say with 99 percent certianty that raymond will be on a new kmfdm cd. maybee not fubar, but it's more or less inevetible. agreed, yes. so, wether or not he is on this cd no longer matters to me at all. as long as he makes new music.
