I've had many jobs...
Best was Cox Cable I did CHAT support and could exit the chat if I wanted at any time when screen sharing and it looks like they did it. I worked 40 hours a week but did 4 hours of work at most.
Worst was Fedex software support. It is worse than anything the Mircosoft tried to make. I have to talk to retards from all around America.

Best: ITS helpdesk.... Sit on my ass infront of a computer, make fun of the customers, and get PRAISED for it. Oh yea, I sit in the office with my guitar all day too.
Worst: Florist. Overworked and underpaid. Also can be catagorized under the "soul sucking" list of careers.

Best job: Unemployed!! or what I do now. I work on a machine called a CNC that runs drafting programs. I am the only night guy in the wood shop so I only have to work hard as I want.
Worst job: Army!!! It had lots of good days, but if I didn't get out when I did I would have been hearding camels and picking up body parts..

best: bartender at a hole-in-the-wall dump. not hard work, knew and liked 80% of the customers, got drunk cheap on my off hours.
worst: waitress at chilis. people tip like shit.. i often wonder if people realize you only get $2-3/hr waiting tables and DEPEND on your tips to live.
..then again, my tips were shit at the bar too. i guess it boils down to the atmosphere. the chilis was in chicago- fast paced and unforgiving; the bar was in southern mississippi- totally laid back, very familiar and relaxed.
i don't mind what i'm doing now.. i'm an administrator/office bitch at the caterpillar plant (large engine manufacturer, for those of you who don't know). my office is quite literally in the middle of the production floor.. every time i go in or out i'm in danger of being run over by manlifts or forklifts, and i have to deal with the paranoia that one of the cranes will drop a 20 ton engine on my head. very fast paced, very good money, tons of overtime. i dig it.

BEST: Medical experiments. It involved lying on my back for 8 or so hours (with a tube rammed up my nose... but, details, details), reading a book and listening to music, and getting paid an average of $15 an hour. And then taking a dump and eating as much food as I could cram down my gullet (not simultaneously, obviously) and getting paid for that too.
WORST: One day on a dump truck in New Zealand after being loaned out by an unskilled labour firm I registered with. It involved running alongside the truck, stopping periodically to throw bundles of paper inside the truck, and picking up recycling crates (most of which were filled to the brim with glass bottles) with one hand. For six hours. I literally couldn't move at all the next day. Oh, and one of the other guys on the truck was psychotic.
OK, busted. I've never had anything that any sane person would consider a 'proper' job. Bite me.
