ok so I spent last night in Rochester NY checking out the KMFDM show and HOLY cow was it awesome. They played pretty much the best set list with some of my personal favs heres the list from what I can remember not in correct order... Godlike Waste Light Go to Hell Sex on the flag DYI Sturm & drag Flesh Megalomaniac Stars and stripes BlackBall WWIII A drug against War I know there was like 2 or 3 more but I cant remember, all I can say is WOW. Last year with Pig the show was ok but just didnt have enough energy, this year OMFG Sacha went all out and just braught the power and energy behind it all and provided the old with the new and kicked so much ass. THEN it got better They where announcing in break over PA upcoming events at the club and what do my ears hear "Ministry" will be performing this month on the 26th, I think I nearly shat my pants... I seen Ministry before and if anyone has you understand why I got excited. It was even better cause they had no dates til like a week ago for anywhere near here now this happens all in same night. I wish I could have had all the fans here with me last night Im sure you all would have enjoyed it as much as I did. Im sore today but the excitement from the show is to much to make me feel bad about the good time I had Peace out.

I miss Ray tho. yyyyyyeah.. i know kmfdm prides themselves on having a revolving lineup, but i really liked the most recent one (with raymond, of course) and i'm a bit scared they won't stick together for another tour.. it just doesn't seem right without all of them there.

From what I understand, they're all still on very good terms, but Ray's going through some hard times in real life, so he couldn't go on this tour. But expect future projects with them together. Which I really hope happens because I love watching the interaction of band members on the tour DVD's. Raymond is hallarious.

personally I didnt mind seeing ray at the show last year but he made it tone down compared to this year withouth im. The excitement this year was a lot more intense crowds response was a lot louder and I think it was raymond whoi dragged that down last year being he sang mostly and was the center of attention. When I go to a KMFDM show I want KMFDM, not PIG and vise versa.

dont take it wrong how I said it, I think Ray is awesome there indeed but Last years show wasnt even close to what this year was. The energy etc.. was just there and ray wasnt so what conclusion would you draw from that???
I dont know if it was Ray not bein there maybe made them go all out even more or what but it just really made my weekened. I almost didnt go cause last show was not what I expected, but this time Im glad I did and I hope next time Pig is there and maybe it goes just as it did this past weekened for me.
I would really like to see the bands have good setup like Pig does his own set with his own shit for while then KMFDM finishes the night off with their set. anyone else need a napkin after thinking about that?

okay, first. I saw the last tour and hit had insane energy, so if you say pig dragged them down then this next tour must be absolutely insane. i really hope i can get the money together in time. But of course the show I saw was the last show on the tour and it was in seattle(home town show), and it was the only over 21 show. anyway at first i disagreed with you ohgr, but i'm turning around. as much as i love pig in kmfdm and he is a founding member. it would by much cooler if he saw opened for kmfdm. Pig and KMFDM together, maybee he could play a song or two for kmfdm, but really just be pig and let sascha do his thing later.. how is that for a compromise, it should make everyone happy. happy enough to cream!

For some reason, yr typically means "your" to me and not "or" .... its still a bit of a runon sentance. Sorry. been writing three papers. Been a bit of a Grammar nut.

www.sickamongthepure.com/files/2004/11/KMFDM/KMFDM.htmlIt feels great to know what they are talking about when they get to chatting about the Winnipeg show. hahaha And no one actually tried to unplug Sascha's stuff. His mike fell off the stand... Sascha picked up the mike stand and wound up for a shot at my friend, who apparently 'tried unplugging his gear'. And yeah, it was a very low-energy show when the group got back on stage after the bottle incident. and yeah, the crowd did feel bad for being there when we felt Sascha was in a bad mood.

I hate it when one or two idiots try to ruin a show. They should make like an uber concert. THE RETURN OF RAYMOND. Then all the TRUE fans (who must go through screening) get to go in and just enjoy the concert.

I consider myself a true fan but I dont know if I could handle a test or anything I dont get in depth on info or anything I just try to support. buy cd's or go to as many shows as possible and have fun.
I concur with the ppl ruining it though. does really make ppl like me who enjoy music in general sick and just annoyed that some are so disrespectful because they cant control themselves or act right in public and still have fun.

well the mn show was smoooooth as silk, just got back from it now. for a comparison on the 2002 tour with pig, i would have to say they were pretty well machted. any added energy, i believe was fueled by the very real subject matter of the WWII cd.we are after all in a differnt world from when attack came out. and i feel that the show would only have been that much better with raymond fronting.
the only problem with the 2k4 tour, are the vocals, they did lack. everything sounded great, but sacha is not a powerfull live vocalist. lucia backs him well, but raymond is what is needed.
there was alot of energy, but again thats comming from the subject matter, and the fact they played so much old school shit to celibrate their 20th aniversary. i mean when they busted out with sex on the flag, and godlike, i was like OMG! and lucia is soooooo hot! i mean c'mon!
all in all, both were great shows. however this one would have benifeted from raymond being with them.
and why is this thread not in the ultra heavy beat section? and since when is seatle Kein Mitleid Für Das Mehrheit's home town? i might be wrong on this one, but a band like KMFDM really cant be said to have a home town. nor could it be said to be an american city... im not ripping on anyone, im just wondering how the home town claim could fall in seatlse court. did they sign a record deal there? cuz the founding members are all from germany. (or living there, as ray is from GB) they started as a theature group that ended up forming into a band... thats the story as i know it any way.

since when is seatle Kein Mitleid Für Das Mehrheit's home town? since sascha lives there and his studio is there.. and since he convinced jules and andy to move there. i think even lucia may have relocated to seattle.. in any event, i still consider kmfdm to be a chicago band since they came here first (first in the us, anyway). but perhaps i'm just a bit biased..

ahhhh so they are currently based in seatle, got ya! but thats doesnt make it their "home" town. just base of operations. home town would have to be someplace in germany... a magical mystical place. this topic got moved eh? but its toally ultra heavy beat!
