Neither of us wear pants if we can help it. you naughty little monkey! and galley, i changed my mind for a number of reasons.. mostly because i just love red meat. that and my ex and i stopped eating meat at the same time (my second time as a vegetarian, his first) and i had a bug up my ass to change a lot of things about me since him. i felt i should no longer deny myself the pleasure of meat, cigarettes, drinking and sex if those were truly things i enjoyed. after all, non smokers and vegetarians die of NOTHING every day.. i want to live my life and be happy with it, not deny myself things i enjoy and die anyway. i'm sure in a few years i'll roll back into the vegetarian thing. you're right, it is a lot easier these days especially in the st. charles 'burbs. if you like thai, you should try the new place in batavia on 31 and wilson. my best friend loves it.

Well, if it was denial, I wouldn't stick with it either. You have to do the things that make you happy. ok, here goes the slightly longer version for somewhat more clarity. he is in the air farce (intentional misspelling). a while back he was sent to south carolina for three months. we decided to stop eating meat because it was something we could do together even though we wouldn't see eachother for a very long time. i still wanted to eat meat, but i stopped for him. we split when he was in iraq. don't call me a horrible bitch for leaving him when he was gone, trust me, he forced me out. i did everything i could to stick around thinking he'd come back to his senses when he got home (he did). also during this time i decided to quit drinking and smoking since he wouldn't be able to while overseas. even after we split i kept up with the no meat no drinking no smoking no dating thing. six months later, i stopped and said to myself "why the fuck am i still doing this?" they were things i enjoyed doing and refrained from for a guy that threw me out of his house; uprooted my life multiple times and tossed me aside when he was 7,000 miles away and ducking bombs. yes, i know that can fuck with someone's head which is why i was willing to wait it out.. he wouldn't hear of it. tough shit for him. long story short, i'm not in denial about the meat thing and i'm not a whore.

I’m sorry that what I wrote came off as insensitive. I’ve been in abusive relationships, and you have my sympathies on that, really. I dated a guy in high school who was so vicious my parents had to put me in a psychiatric unit to get me to stop cutting myself with razor blades. I had other problems, but he was kind of the trigger. Sorry, I’m getting off the subject. I can’t imagine what it’s like being with someone who’s chosen to go into the military. I probably couldn’t have stuck it out anywhere near as long as you did. On the issue of meat, I wasn’t saying that you were “in denial.” I simply meant that you seemed to be feeling as though you were denying yourself something you wanted. That’s not a nice feeling. On the issue of sex, I’m a clusterfuck for how that came out. I’m not really sure how to fix it. I do believe what I said. People are entitled to make different lifestyle choices, and I try not to judge; as long as it’s a thought out choice. I don’t know you, and I didn’t mean to imply anything about you or anyone else. I’m really sorry. I should have just kept my thoughts to myself on that; knowing it would come off like I was being superior and or implying things. It was a mistake. I can see that now, and I have no trouble admitting it. Finally, I don’t call other women “whores” or “sluts.” It’s not who I am. It’s not what I’m about. I’m sorry that my comments upset you, and may have caused you to feel like you had to share information that was very personal, or that you may not have wished to share. You don’t owe me or anyone else any explanations. You have my respect, and I hope you accept my apology. --lovelove

Yes, I've had that pita. My husband has gotten it a few times. It's pretty good. We are both really happy that in the past year or so that a couple of decent Thai places have opened around here (mmm . . . green curry with eggplant). I love Asian cooking-!! I've been a vegetarian for about 16 years. What made you change your mind? I hope you don't mind me asking. One of my little sisters is a vegan. I'm not motivated to take that step myself, but I do try to make sure she's got plenty she can eat whenever there's a family gathering (substituting out the eggs in birthday cakes and making the frosting with tofu-"cream cheese"). I was the first vegetarian in my family (the majority of my sisters are vegetarians now too). I know what it's like when people don't try to accommodate you. I don't want her to feel left out. It was harder in the past. Most people are pretty nice about it now, around here anyway. I went to Denver on vacation when I was pregnant with my son, and it was tough around there. I think we tried 5 different restaurants one night before we found a place to have dinner, and I was getting sicker by the minute. --lovelove I'm also the first vegetarian in my family(about 3 years now). I've never really had any problems with finding places to eat, even on vacation, but i guess it is just the area.

I’m sorry that what I wrote came off as insensitive. no, no, no.. what i wrote may have sounded crass but that is because i'm still somewhat bitter about what happened, but i did not mean to come across as being angry at you. you did not upset or offend me, i just wanted to make sure i was a little clearer. the way i worded things in my first post makes it sound like i'm a chainsmoking slutty ravenous carnivore. i simply meant that i had started doing these things again, but never really said it was in moderation. in short- no worries. no offence taken none meant.

Hello to everyone! I found these boards by following a link at the UHB forums, and after staring at pretty, pretty, pretty boy Raymond Watts' likeness for a while felt the sudden urge to join, so here I am... I usually go online by the name Aranxta (real name is Alexandra), but I also use the handle Ninara Poll, which I decided to use both here and on the UHB forums. I'm in my late 20s, working on an MBA, and generally up to my ears in scholastic research. I write for both school and pleasure, maintain a very boring LiveJournal (icequeenaranxta) and a dead LiveJournal community (fail_med_school), and am a very boring person irl, so I'll stop rambling on about my personal self... Oh, almost forgot, musical tastes! Wide ranging; R.E.M., Glenn Miller, KMFDM/MDFMK, Tony Bennett, 90s alt, PIG, NIN, and Barry Manilow are just a few of my schizophrenic favorites... Um, if anyone wants to know anything else, just ask... and please be gentle, I am a newbie, after all... NP

hahaha... My bf's a vegetarian, and I'm a carnivore.... imagine how THAT works out. Sorry ladies and gents, I gotta have my inch-thick steak that's been marinating all day, cooked to perfection (still red in the middle) so that its moo-ing on my plate. If I don't get my taste of blood that way, I resort to human flesh. Im not all the time, just when I feel like it.

Am I the only person in England in Raymond - so to speak ? Rule Brittania, Britania rules the waves...& no i'm not a naxi !!!!! You American have KMFDM who tour loads & we have Raymond who...well....I'm Jon-Paul, friends & family call me JP & those who are really thick call me PJ - make your choice. ALthough I know the verbal abuse I am about to get...I'm a 33 year old lawyer. I like fast japanese cars, lots of music but especially industrial. I'm a gig moster & have to do every date of a tour in England...assuming I like the band of course. Nearly met up with HP last year at Ministry in Florida...but I fucked up. Sorry & I still owe you that beer. Greatwhite by day & greatwhite 2 by night. I drink a bit & don't smoke. Nothing else really.x

Due to me using the PC at work (& as I'm a lawyer) I have to be very careful with what I type. However, as I expect not all americans are dumb-ass murdering soldiers...I assume you can get the idea of my message ?

Post by TheLance on Jun 1, 2005 5:58:50 GMT -5
I personally would pronounce it 'fuh-coo-kuh'.
|
|
|
Post by greatwhite on Jun 1, 2005 6:01:41 GMT -5
You could pronounce it either...George W Bush or Tony Blair In fact, I think that if we chose to swear, we should insert the works Bush or Blair instead of the swear word. Example...I think that System of a Dow are a right load of Bush !!! Does that work ??

Post by Zer0 on Jun 1, 2005 12:22:42 GMT -5
Am I the only one who has trouble reading that?
|
|
|
Post by greatwhite2 on Jun 1, 2005 13:08:06 GMT -5
Right to make it simple (& now that I'm at home & can openly swear)...if you think something is 'fucking awful', you could alternatively say 'it's Bush' or 'it's Blair'. Using my previous example (with spelling errors corrected)...I think the new System of a Down CD is Bush. Get it now
