My name is Dwayne. I live in 6 miles outside of Huron, South Dakota (a small town of about 8000 people). I have been a pretty devoted fan of KMFDM since about 1995. I like many different types of music but dislike POP, COUNTRY, Any Form of RAP, OLDIES, and not too keen on Classic Rock. To make it to see shows here I have to drive to Fargo ND or Minneapolis MN and have traveled 8 hours to Milwaukee WI before. I just transfered at work from making taxidermy's foam mounts to a wood shop working nights (Less Driving, Less Hours, More Pay, and I am the only person there at nights now). Used to drink way too much now I rarly drink at all, and don't smoke. And if anyone made it trough all that and want's a joke or two send me an IM and I should get back to you with in a day!!

Howdy. I'm Glyn (I know it's stupid but it's not my fault) , 18, living in Adelaide, Australia. Originally from Christchurch in New Zealand. Studying Arts at uni.
18 years old, male.
Um... My other favourite bands are Oomph! and Foetus (and derivatives), but I also listen to a lot of euro (especially German) metal bands and electronic type Industrial, especially Skinny Puppy and :Wumpscunt:.
Yes I like shitty puns too, especially if they involve swear words. I have a really immature sense of humour.
I'm also fond of movies and literature. My favourite film is probably Once Upon A Time In The West, and my favourite actor is Clint Eastwood.
Ah, that's all for now.

ok, my turn. i've bounced in and out of raymondwatts.com but somehow never found this message board until tonight. insomnia IS good for you after all.. i'm mary, i'm 25 years old and i'm a bartender. i grew up near chicago, moved just outside of new orleans for two years and just moved back to the (almost) chicagoland area. i'm probably the closest one to the guy in indy who claims to have no friends at the moment i'm in lafayette. i dig music, photography, live shows, horror movies, reading and drinking.... sometimes all at once. i think that's about it.

I'm glad to see more fans from around the world. Americans have no excuse for not being able to find good music, but in the end most suck down anything Sony crams down their throats.

Clearly not.
It also occurs to me that I'm a stupid fuckhead, which really should have gone in my first post, because I'm 19 years old, not 18. Well, for two more days anyway, then I'll be twenty.
What a wanker.

Thank you, and you're welcome, HP. I've never understood those people who join and either post once, or never post at all. I mean, I've joined forums because I got shitfaced at Dante's (Sinferno Sundays. Becides the back of your Preists Alter, Dante's is the best place to get laid on a sunday.) and didn't feel like sleeping, but even I still make a point to return there so I can get banned.

Ermm . . . Well, it was brought to my attention a while back that I should introduce myself, but I tend to drop off the face of the planet for stretches. Sorry, about that. Didn’t mean to put it off for so long. Sometimes, it can’t be helped. I’ve got a chronic health condition (fibromyalgia), and I was busy the past few months running up tons of medical bills. Luckily, my husband has o.k. insurance through his work, or I’d probably be having a nervous breakdown right now trying to figure out how to pay for all the labs my doctors recently put me through (upper G.I. endoscopy, pelvic, thyroid, and gallbladder ultrasound, gallbladder empty/scan, and two batches of blood work). Now, I’m going through physical therapy to try to fix some issues with my posture. It’s all so fun-!! I’m gally. My husband often refers to me as, “shiny happy girl.” I really do think I’m as optimistic as someone who has chronic pain and fatigue can be. Probably not real fun to live with all the time though. I’ll give him that (but I think I make up for it by being both fanatically monogamous and superlatively libidinous). I’ve been writing poetry since I was about 9. I love to sing, but my social anxiety keeps me from doing it much in front of others. I’m working on that though. Really, I’m just neurotic, eccentric, and tightly wound. I grew up in a college town about an hour and a half outside of Chicago. I’ve moved from there, but not too far. A little closer to the city. We are hoping to move again this year. I’ve been feeling like I’ve been suffocating ever since we moved to the “Fox River Valley” area. I hate it here. I’ve been married for 9 years, but with my husband for 13 years. We have a son who will be five in May. Gosh this is all so horribly boring. You’re all sorry I decided to go ahead and do this now, aren’t you? It’s okay. Be honest. ^_^ Can ask me anything you want. I don’t mind questions. I just don’t know what to say when I’m not being asked anything. Nobody really wants to know that much about me anyway. ^_^

I'm not the only one who knows how much it sucks here. I'm in Saint Charles right now. One of my sisters lives out here with me. The rest are still back in my home town, which isn't a great place either (just a bit better than here in some ways). I've got five sisters. It's been kind of hard for me since My husband and I moved here. I've felt really isolated. I was used to being close to my sisters and the college, always something going on. Feels like there's never anything going on here. I've had the past 7 years to develop some connection to this place. It hasn't happened. I really don't want my son to start school here. We have to move. >_< Thanks for commiserating with me. --lovelove

Yay-!! I'm not the only one who knows how much it sucks here. I'm in Saint Charles right now. i'm going to take a wild guess (ok, not so wild) and say you moved from dekalb to st. charles.. that's the only real college town i can think of out there. you're saying you dislike it more in st. charles? yikes.. i'd think dekalb would be more likely to drive you crazy. if you want the best skillet ever created go to springview on 64 and get the corned beef hash skillet with the texas toast. mmmmmmm... and while you're there, wave at my ghetto ass former apartments on randall and 64 where my neighbor engaged himself in a police stand off because he refused to stop shooting out the windows. hehe.. good times, good times.

Yeah, I'm from DeKalb. Don't ask me any questions about Cindy Crawford. The thing about Saint Charles is; when I walk out the door here. I don't feel like there's any place to go. I don't drive. I could walk anywhere I wanted in DeKalb, or there was the Husky bus line if school was in session. There was always something going on at the University too (for cheap). I saw the Jesus and Mary Chain and Curve at NIU. Jeanette Winterson came there to speak too (one of my favorite authors). If there was nothing to do in DeKalb I would just hike over to the art building and wander the floors. It was like a local, free gallery. When it was hot in the summer, and we didn't have an air-conditioning; I could take over the lounge in the music building, and just hang out there, reading or writing, or whatever. I've just got no outlets and no connections here (aside from my sister next door). I've got to get my driver's license anyway. We are probably moving closer to Arlington Heights. Won't be much within walking distance there either, but I'll be closer to Mitsuwa, and the Asahiya books therein. Thanks for your recommendation about the skillet, but I'm one of THOSE people (vegetarian). No fun, I know. Glad to aid in your reminiscence. --lovelove

YUUUUUM! Yes, I've had that pita. My husband has gotten it a few times. It's pretty good. We are both really happy that in the past year or so that a couple of decent Thai places have opened around here (mmm . . . green curry with eggplant). I love Asian cooking-!! I've been a vegetarian for about 16 years. What made you change your mind? I hope you don't mind me asking. One of my little sisters is a vegan. I'm not motivated to take that step myself, but I do try to make sure she's got plenty she can eat whenever there's a family gathering (substituting out the eggs in birthday cakes and making the frosting with tofu-"cream cheese"). I was the first vegetarian in my family (the majority of my sisters are vegetarians now too). I know what it's like when people don't try to accommodate you. I don't want her to feel left out. It was harder in the past. Most people are pretty nice about it now, around here anyway. I went to Denver on vacation when I was pregnant with my son, and it was tough around there. I think we tried 5 different restaurants one night before we found a place to have dinner, and I was getting sicker by the minute. --lovelove

Vegitarians aren't bad, they're just hard to cook for. VEGANS are bad. hahaha... My bf's a vegetarian, and I'm a carnivore.... imagine how THAT works out. Sorry ladies and gents, I gotta have my inch-thick steak that's been marinating all day, cooked to perfection (still red in the middle) so that its moo-ing on my plate. If I don't get my taste of blood that way, I resort to human flesh.
