Has anyone heard anything about a 12" single called Sick City ? :(Not the normal verson but Live at the Powerhouse in London 1991. It also has something to do with Trent Reznor ? There are meant to be only 150 made. Has anyone got a copy ? What's it like ? As I'm about to buy a copy for a million pounds - slight exaggeration !!! JP

I've heard about this rare 12". I've never seen it but would love a photo of it for the site. I've never heard it but would love an mp3 of the live song from it. Update this thread when you get it.

I have it. It's actually called Hello Hooray. Sick City is the B-side. It was recorded live in Holland, then mostly sold at a Pig show a few weeks later in England. Limited to 150 copies.
Released on Concrete as a white label. It's not much to look at, due to it being pressed and released so quickly. Just a plain vinyl, labeled via marker.
Not quite all the copies were sold at the London show. A small chunk of the pressing was sent to the US and distributed as promos. And a handful were given away in a magazine contest. It's...quite hard to come by.
Both tracks on it are the same ones that would show up on A Stroll In The Pork. So there's nothing exclusive on it.
And Trent Reznor had nothing to do with the release.

From what I was told, it was recorded live in london in 91/92, which is (I think) when PIG supported NIN. Hoever, I have only been told this info. Once Iget it to hand we could perhaps complete this discussion ?

Recorded live at Utrecht, Holland on 10/26/91. Released at a live show on 11/21/91 at Powerhause, London.
Pig opened for Nine Inch Nails a few years later, in spring 1994.
Definitely no Reznor involvement. I even once interviewed Ray and asked him if he ever discussed collaborating musically with Trent at any time. To my disappointment, he said never.

Ray and Trent would make interesting track. A far more interesting track than with Manson. Its sad that it would take a track with Trent for most so called music fans out their to get interesting in Ray's work but thats their loss.

This vinyl has now turned up & I have to bow to your expertise. 8-)The reason why 'the seller' assumed it was live at the Powerhouse was because on the label accompanting this it states 'Strictly limited edition One of 150 only at Powerhaus London November 21st 1991'. Many apologies for 'big-ing' up this bootleg & not trusting your wiser judgment

Nah, think nothing of it. You landed pretty much the most rare Pig release there is, so you should be happy about it. It's not a bootleg either, it's an official promo. You're only the second or third person besides myself I've known to obtain a copy.
I actually honestly don't even remember for sure how I got my copy. I think maybe I caught a random post from a guy on a forum somewhere who had it up for sale. I've had some strange means of putting together my collection. Funnily enough, in several instances I just had to trust people one on one, not using eBay or gemm or any legit company...and the only time I've ever been ripped off in all those years was by fucking Grand Recordings. Oh, the irony...

that's typical but strange as it was Yoshi who e-mailed me to say that he'd seen this in Tokyo second hand record shop & thought I might like it. Told him I would but could not aford a million yen until payday so (the kind chap he is) he went & brought it for me & waited until payday. Now that's service which we could all learn from !!!

Yeah, Yoshi can be a bit tricky to get in touch with sometimes, unfortunately. Which address did you try, bluenois at mb dot kcom dot ne dot jp? That should work. If not, try pig@ same domain. Otherwise, I dunno, keep bugging him from time to time (: He responds eventually...
