So, I'll add it anyway: (ganked from Jules' MySpace account)
"So... Thought I'd let y'all know how the new album's shaping up... We've got tons of stuff being kicked arround at the moment but the tracks that are coming to the fore at the moment are a real ecclectic mix. There's definatley some fiery electronica happening, and for the first time we're all working on the synth stuff, so big dance grooves are a plenty. I've come up with the best thing I've ever done inside KMFDM - Heavy as yer mum and twice as unfashionable!!! lol I just finished putting down guitars on a track Sascha started, and if it doesn't get yer vinyl clad butts shaking on the dance floor in yer local industrial discotheque, then you've forgotten how to dance. Current influences: Stoly Fu Manchu Sex Chrome ...and the Ultra Heavy Beat (of course) Cheers!
Jules"
KMFDM back to techno again... good thing? bad thing? One thing that seemed missing out of WWIII was Sasha's ideal of "Ultra Heavy Beat". I'll be glad for that. I just hope it doesn't sound like ATTAK or Adios. Those aren't their strongest albums. The way he describes the new music kind of reminds me of "Unfit".... which without Raymond doesn't hold much merit in my heart.

I'm not the ultra mindless "fanboy" that jerk offs on other forums proclaim me to be. I enjoy many KMFDM songs that Raymond wasn't on. I believe I'll enjoy atleast a bulk of this new cd due to the lineup. I won't judge much about it until it comes out.

Sounds cool. I like some ultra heavy beats before I go to bed.

Fine, I'm a fucking fangirl then. At least I'm honest about it.

i'm nervous about the new album. i sat down the other night, at a friend's request for a kmfdm mix cd, and started picking out my favorite kmfdm songs.. 90% of the songs i wanted to put on it had raymond on them..

i bet it will rock. it will probably be more consistent then the last few, with a steady lineup finally, even if raymond isn't on it it should still be good. probably not the same sound as ww3. Even if it sucked compared to there other stuff that would still make it a hell of a lot better then anything you could hear on the radio. and besides, XTORT is an incredible album, maybee my favorit kmfdm, and no raymond.

This is true... Then I hope for the best with this lineup. I just don't want it to sound like Attak or Angst. That is all.

Yeah, and if Raymond isn't on this album, then he'll be 100% free to work on some new solo stuff, and since his solo stuff is better than KMFDM, I say that's a good thing.
And anyway, I really like Angst.

Absolutely. I mean, its KMFDM... they can't produce a sound terrible enough where I wouldn't buy the CD... Unless they got some pop-queen's synth voice on there, then I might reconsider.

Yeah, but when that happens I'll be at my local record store SELLING my KMFDM/MDFMK CD's.

honestly if it was more of an xtort sound i would be very happy. But i'm expecting a more technoish sound. who knows.

I doubt it... it was always En Esch who pushed for the more techno sound, wasn't it?

I'd assume that, but listen to Adios and Attak. They sound much more synthed vs. Slick Idiot.

Well, conscidering the name: FUBAR. I have a feeling it's going to be more of a WWIII sound. Right now it seems Sascha's in a pissed off political stage. (And due so, there's a lot of bullshit going on to be pissed off about) My guess is more heavy hard hitting sounds, with a techno background.

Did you read what Jules wrote? I don't think its going to sound anything like WWIII.... Then again, I guess nobody can say wtf until the album actually comes out, ne?

I read what he wrote, but the CD is still in process. I still feel it's going to be another angry album.

was there ever a not angry KMFDM album ?

Maybe the beats'll be heavier, sort of more early Feindflug-y, if anyone has listened to them.

was there ever a not angry KMFDM album ? WTYKD? Money doesn't sound that angry either. and 84-86 is just weird.

True, but most of it was just them fucking around and having fun. They had the best lineup ever, so why not have a hell of a lot of fun with it? (OhGr, Sascha, En Esch, Raymond, Abby, Tim, Gunther...)

I wouldn't. I can't think of another time when they had such a great lineup.

I want to hear Andy Selway show off his skin hittin' skills a bit more. After listening to the Watts CD, I was thinking, 'Whoa, this guy's actually a pretty decent drummer!'. But just getting him to play drum machine beats is a bit of a waste.
