Topic. Other choices are redundant or demonstrably false, so no complaints.

I've never heard the term "rogering".... Is that a Roy Roger's reference? What is the origin of that?

Rogering, aka rodgering, Brit slang for having sex. Give me about a day and I might be able to track down some sort of etymology for you.

I got the definition, just not the origin. None of my usual, more scholarly sources were forthcoming, so I had to turn to the 1811 Dictionary of the Vulgar Tongue: "TO ROGER. To bull, or lie with a woman; from the name of Roger being frequently given to a bull." To bull a woman is another 19th century slang term for having sex, since bulls were supposedly really virile and horny as all get-out. (Town Bull was also a slang term for a pimp.) That thing about the name Roger, well, the English have their own traditional names that were given to animals (if I were more coherent I could remember a few examples, will add some once I'm well), so this seems to be a classic case of the name assigned to the animal becoming shorthand for the animal itself and its best-known characteristics. I'll try to explain more coherently once I'm over this meningitis. NP

Oh dear, get better. I couldn't stand my Ninara getting sick. Thank you, my sweetness *hug while in biohazard suit so no one else gets sick*. I caught this from my mom (who caught it from several sick and hygeine-deficient people at her workplace) and while my case is not nearly as bad as hers was, I've had this for about two weeks now, so Friday I managed to get myself to my GP. I'm now on bedrest for the next little bit and Zithromax. NP

I think my husband's boss gave him the flu, so you're not alone.
