I'm a bit disappointed with the setlist. I was hoping it would be a little more like what they did in Europe. The Becoming, Heresy, Last, Ruiner. But alas, it's just a lot of the new stuff.
However, I've seen the visuals from this tour and they are fucking amazing.

I personally do not buy concert tickets to see screen savers on projection screens.

I'm seeing it at Uncasville, CT. I'm told that even the projection is a good show. I don't really know because I should be drunk/not sane for this show. The opening band disturbs me. Some emo band named Deerhunter.

I saw them a few years back in Richmond for the... um... With Teeth tour I'm pretty sure... anywho, I haven't really cared for much of anything past the Downward Spiral, though I still do consider myself a pretty big NIN fan. I just hate the new stuff (especially this latest, free download, album... pee-eww!). I went because NIN was one of the bands I needed to see before I died. Tickets were ridiculously expensive and the nice date I had planned with my boyfriend at the time turned into a trip with him, his bandmates, and their slutty groupies, but still, I got to see NIN and they did play most of the songs I hoped they'd play but didn't really think they would (Wish, Happiness in Slavery, etc). Still, I probably wouldn't bother to go again.
Nick Cave though... god I am anxiously awaiting October...
But yeh, when I saw NIN there was some awful "electronic rapper" guy... I don't remember his name. He was him up there rapping with some "industrial-esque" music going in the background... it was awful... still not quite as bad as seeing Otto Von Shirach opening for ohGr though, ahahaha...

I'm going to see NIN tomorrow night at Mohegan Sun casino. Any lurkers should approach me with caution.
In case anyone is wondering, I will be in tall boots, fishnets, camo skirt and black corset... Probably like some drugged out goth chick. I should warn you... I will be carrying my blade. So don't piss me off.
Actually, anyone who knows my spamspace page, can see my MEEZ character dressed exactly how I will be.

Well, how was the show? I'm curious about whether or not Trent's voice sucked. Two shows have been canceled so far due to him being ill, including the show that was scheduled for tonight, so you're lucky you got to see them when you did.

I noticed it rhaspy once. He did a full two-hour set. It was really good, considering what I was expecting.
I think I would've liked watching it better on DVD, since a) people talk and wooo during parts that are meant to be appreciated in silence, b) I had poor view from my seat and c) i hate other concert goers. Lots of drunk people. details in mein blog.

I love gigs where the venue is almost empty! I don't enjoy gigs where drunks and woohooers are there.
I just saw Nevermore in their home town and was able to get up front on the barrier.
They usually have 2 guitarists but only had the main one and then the bassists was playing the 2nd guitarists parts.
The tattoo fest was ok, somewhat entertaining/interesting...
