I figure I'd stir the pot a bit and see what you guys think. Sasha K has already backed Obama in interviews. I hear a lot of great motivation out of him, my only problem is, is that he isn't saying HOW he is going to do any of those things.
Frankly, I think politicians are all the same, and would not be happy until we found a president who makes under $100k/year and knows how to support a family without being a rich yuppie. We should clean out the white house and elect new senate and house members and new candidates.

Not my business, but I kind of like Obama. McCain, perversely enough, probably has the best voting record on the issues I like (I understand the Republicans picked him because of his broad appeal) but he'll have to toe the party line if he gets in or he'll get in the shits with his party, I guess. Hilary's desperation (she made some nonsensical joke about New Zealand's prime minister a couple of weeks ago, for reasons that remain unclear) and delusions, by which I mean all those assassins in Bosnia, or that she still has a chance, put me right off her.

Clinton threatens to ‘obliterate’ Iran if Israel attacked
www.infowars.com/?p=1643
AFP April 22, 2008
Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton threatened to “obliterate” Iran if it launches a nuclear attack on Israel, in an interview broadcast Tuesday.
“I want the Iranians to know that if I’m the president, we will attack Iran,” Clinton told ABC News, asked what she would do as president were Iran to launch a nuclear attack on Israel.
“In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them.”
The tough talk came just prior to Tuesday’s Pennsylvania primary, a key milestone in the marathon Democratic nominations race pitting Clinton against her rival Senator Barack Obama.
Clinton must win the Pennsylvania primary, but she needs to do more than simply scrape past Obama to rescue her trailing White House bid, pundits say.

Yeah... Iran is definitely a trouble-country... however.... You don't just magically "obliterate" a country... that has nukes... Afterall....

I don't think Iran is 'trouble free' exactly but I suspect they'll limit their regional ambitions. They're not the biggest bunch of loonies out there. Hilary's doing her damndest to get there, though.
EDIT: Damnedest?

Several analysts have said before that Iran is a bigger threat than Afghanistan and Iraq and more worthwhile to spend millions of dollars invading.

Several analysts have said before that Iran is a bigger threat than Afghanistan and Iraq and more worthwhile to spend millions of dollars invading. Well... it is. But that wasn't the point with Afghanistan and the whole Iraq thing was shrouded in blatant horse shite from the get go, as pretty much anyone could see. They have plenty of links with anti-Western terrorists, and probably actually do have a stockpile of various unpleasant agents, certainly more than Iraq did, if that's a good enough reason to get bogged down in yet another war.

It's just a ploy to make the rich richer and to keep the ruling class in power. We are not in a democracy and should not illusion itself as if it were one.

Saddam was put into office/power by our CIA buddies. Saddam didn't play by the USSA's Rules so he was taken out. Iran isn't playing by Amerika's rules now so our hijacked goverment is on their asses now but I don't back it. Venezuela's leader is very respectible in the aspect that he isn't going to sell out to international interests.

We have oil waiting to be drilled in many of our own states. But nooo we want to rely on our buddies in the middle east.

Emergency supply... When the Mid East gets smart and blocks us off completely and we go A-Bomb them, we can then go to our own reserves.
