Spielberg is directing a live-action Ghost In the ShellIn the article he says he's a huge fan of the anime, but this was also the same man who is a "huge fan" of War of the Worlds. Look how that turned out? Akira is also scheduled to become a live-action movie starring Leo. Then to top this off: Neon Genesis Evangelion is in talks! What the fuck, is up with Hollywood? Have they scraped the bottom of the barrel so deeply that they have to attempt to ruin other genres? Really, people are happy with you rehashing love stories and making the same crap over and over. DON'T RUIN ANIME!

Don't forget Battle Angel Alita is going to come out too... The Japanese already did three Death Note movies that are REALLY fucking good. The graphics on it are beyond amazing. They made the Shinigami look so fucking real.

You made mention of Graphics and I didn't think of it being Live Action. Mybad. BUt, yeah. I really hope Spielbergr says "F YOU!" to Hollywood when they ask him to dumb down the movie to appeal to the masses.

Yeah.... GitS is best understood when you watch it 2-3 times. Americans typically don't like that.
But yeah, those two movies are (will be) live action. The three Death Note movies have human actors, however, there are Death Gods (Shinigami) that are CGI. They are doing the same thing with Alita. Most of the cast will be human, except Alita.

Yeah, but Chow Yun Fat is playing Master Roshi. That's not so bad.

DragonBall Z is nothing more then an over-the top shit-fest. Seriously, watch this: www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/40012This is like EVERY fucking episode! That, or they'll sit there and talk about how amazing their powers are for 40 episodes while everyone sits there like douchebags in complete shock that this person is "supposedly" this powerful. I mean, c'mon! The MATRIX trilogy didn't even do that!

Man, this forum is, like, 2 million years behind everywhere else on the interweb. For those who are wondering, Eva was supposed to be made in 2006 or so but never happened. I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.
PS. Dragonball is awesome.

I don't know jack about Dragonball. I had a nephew that watched it. I remember then flying and being in an arena at times. I see a battle over it being good or sucking. What are the pros and cons from the fans and haters of it?

a) Shouting b) Incredibly dumb fun c) Reasonably low level of complete gibberish, and in particular completely lacks the metaphysical drool that most 'highbrow' amine tend to get bogged down with.* d) No nimrod fans tell you you're an imbecile for recognising the gibberish for what it is, and refusing to agree with them that it is amazingly deep e) Constant hilarity f) Christ there's a lot of shouting
* Man, seriously, I am 100% behind any Eva-related project that changes that lazy fucking ending.

Ok. I thought you said it didn't have a low level of gibberish, which I would have agreed with.

Well, it has lots of nonsensical tripe in it, but it didn't try and get all highminded like some amine and amine-derived product sometimes does (FFVII comes to mind). I appreciated that.
Also, I watched Lizardsphere X and, yeah, that is totally the series, and I need to add something to my list of why DB is awesome:
g) Became popular as an action series in spite of the fact that literally 90% of it is dudes standing around looking shocked
What a great show.

Take his reasons...This is why I dislike it. Really, look at Lizard Sphere X from Newgrounds. It's so fucking true! Stolen from Psychostick's (a band) spoof of DBZ. I love those guys. But yeah. I like DBZ. I acknowledge it is bad anime... but that's kind of the art to it, right?

They should make a kid's game out of this....
But yeah... I appreciate movies that are intentionally going to be bad. Nobody watched DOOM expecting a "movie of the year."

The acting was. Anyone who was a fan of the game, knows the movie was badass.

No, everyone who was a fan of the game knows the movie was shit up till the point when the first person scene kicked in (ie. when it became more like Doom I and II, and less like III). That bit was the business, and so was the fight with the Rock at the end. It was kind of a shame the whole movie wasn't just one big first person monster-waste-a-thon, since I would have jerked myself stupid over that. Plot is for the weak.
As a side note, I watched Cobra last night and loved every second of it.

I loved the part where they were showing off the BFG and the Rock just quips, "That's a Big Fucking Gun..."
Half the theatre laughed hysterically... The other half was like... "Wtf?"
