I don't recall making a thread of this nature before. (Presently listening to The Hero Inside from Schaft - Switch Blade This is a song that I haven't listened to much which I have under appreciated.) I believe that all areas of his abilities have been under appreciated but I'll leave the voting and debate up to you.

What would you define as underappreciated? As in his lack of fan base, or what people don't think about when they hear him?

Going by perhaps his fanbase, I don't hear near enough praise for Ray's lyrical abilities. I've never seen so much concentrated alliteration anywhere else.

Non-Fans opinions are always irrelevant.I've got to diagree with you HP, all opinions are worthwhile. As long as the music provokes a reaction, good or bad, that's good for us. If someone says PIG's shit, fine, disagree but they've tried & they'll remember PIG as will their friends. Isn't there a saying that there's no such thing as bad publicity ? It would be nice to justv receive good opinions but think about it, a world devoted to PIG - how depraved & sick would that be ?

How about in the sense of criticism. A Fan can give a more well rounded review and criticism of Raymond's work because they know what he has done in the past and what he is capable of. A Non-Fan will just react to what they hear (like an animal). They'll just listen for parts the usually like and not analyze it much if at all. Fans = People that own Raymond's Work Non-Fans = People that don't know of his work or the vast majority of PIG's Myspace "friends"

Woof !!!!

Yeah Man Image me going to a slum in the bad side of town in any city in American with a boom box playing PIG. Image the reaction on the faces of the residents there. If yeah can't picture it I may do it soon for the hell of it.

I would say that he is already appreciated for his lyrical ability, as he has guested as vocals and lyrics on various side projects. I would say that he is under appreciated as a composer of his music. His orchestra stuff is fantastic and the different genres that he interbreeds is captivating.
And stuff.

I think Schaft are very under-appreciated. Isn't there a song with the Mission Impossible theme, as it's main backing tune ? Or is that a Schwein track ?

I vote for his audio production. Everything he mixes sounds really good to me.

Live Performance!
If I could pick one of his abilities for myself to learn it, it would be the live performance. I love them all by the way. ;D

I've never gotten the chance to see Ray live, but I will say that not many artists can pull off a good live performance.

There's a big leap between albums too... So I wouldn't bank too much judgement there.
