To me a cover song shouldn't be just a carbon copy of the original. It should be done totally in the style of the artist covering it. You can't deny that every cover Raymond has done didn't use the original formula.
I'd like for Raymond to come out with a full cd of covers someday. A friend of Raymond's and fellow Londoner Jared Louche of Chemlab came out with a cover cd called Jared Louche and The Aliens - Covergirl before he came out with a new Chemlab cd.

Love me tender would be pretty good. how about 'ain't nothin' but a hound dog?' that'd be pretty cool.

Covergirl could be the worst Chemab related project out there. I'd love to hear Raymond cover something really out there for him...like Pinball Wizard (the Who) or something like that which you'd never expect him covering. He'd have fun with some classic rock. Maybe Buddy Holly, or something along those lines.

Y'know, there's something about Raymond covering Elvis tracks that really makes sense to me. Burning Love would be a great song for him to cover.
Or, he could even do a whole Elvis cover album as a side project. Keep the hat and sunglasses, grow some mutton chops, get some sequins... uh, ok, maybe not sequins.

I'd love to hear him cover Huey Lewis and the News' I Want a New Drug. For some reason, that really amuses me right now.
Or something by Babes in Toyland. Kat Bjelland's voice is almost the female equivalent of Watts'.

A cover of Santana - Black Magic Woman would be interesting.

I would like to see him cover 'gave up' but that is just my favorite nine inch nails song. That or Shoots and Ladders by Korn because I would like to see what he would do to it.

it seems we're getting a few duplicate (or far too similar) threads going on here.
my response in the other one was "paint it black"
