Has anyone ordered or heard the re-mastered KMFDM cds? I'd like to know how Ray's vocals sounded on the Old material.

I got the remastered UAIOE and WDYKD because I don't have the originals. I do have the original Don't Blow Your Top, though. There's a difference in sound, but it doesn't really matter, since they kick ass anyways

Next batch is up for preorder at www.kmfdmstore.comNaive, Money, and Angst Naive has the 5 remixes from Naive/Hell to Go, but the O Fortuna part in Liebesleid is edited out. I'm pre-ordering Naive, just because I love Go to Hell, and I want the shirt with "I WANNA GO TO HELL!" on the back....fits living in Texas nicely. Just thought I'd share...

I'd like to hear them side by side.

I heard the remastered Naive will NOT have the original Leibeisleid (sorry for the misspell), as per copyright issues. I will probably invest in Angst (as I think the song "light" is pure genius) and maybe Money.

Your post got me thinking of how much I really love Angst as well...mainly "A Drug Against War" and "Glory"... So after very little arm twisting I've got Angst pre-ordered as well. The shirt has "Accept No Imitations!" on the back... ;D

Angst showed up Saturday, just finished listening to and again listening to it now, and have to say, it sounds damn better.
Seemed to have fixed the problem of how low the album was mixed the first time.
Makes me feel like I'm listening to it for the first time again-love the remastering.
Now hoping Naive shows up on Monday maybe.

Oh hell yes!
Naïve showed up today (Monday)...damn this one sounds better than the original...the re-eq'ing really shows a difference, as does the remastering.
Highlight of the CD for me:
Go To Hell (Fuck MTV Mix)-so fucking bad ass.
Just to let people know:
Liebeslied [Edit] completely removes all of the O Fortuna samples, just goes straight into the chorus.
However, the Leibesleid [Infringement Mix] doesn't have the sample, but does have the melody of the sample, played very slightly on synthesizer with the crowd-esque sample that answers to it intact.
Now it's not the same as the original sample, but short of having the original version (which in the liner notes is even mentioned that they tried, but the people holding the copyright wouldn't allow for any samples to be cleared) it's as close to the original mix as you can get, short of finding an original copy of Naïve.
Definitely worth hearing though, I'm really impressed with the remasters of Angst and Naïve.

Ran out and bought Naive. It's every bit as delicious as I knew it would be, sample regardless.
I plan to pick up Money and Angst next, and maybe, just maybe, the first three.
Also, I need to hook myself up with some Opium.

Mentioned this on the KGC thread, but had the chance to talk to Sascha and Lucia on Seattle radio (called in) and Sascha said the next batch of Classics would be out in February. No definite date, just February.

If they're keeping true to form, I suppose that would be Nihil, Xtort, and Symbols. I'll pick up Nihil, but I don't think any of those, save perhaps Xtort maybe, need touching up.

That's what I'm thinking...
Sascha didn't say which ones were next...but part of me wondered if they'd release Adios as well and make it the 4 pack bundle to get them all out or just save Adios or by itself?
I say this because of the Classics poster I have on my wall, that has Nihil, Xtort, Symbols, and Adios left to be released.
I'd think they'd do the next 3 and save Adios for last, but might be cool to do 4 at once...I know when I talked to him he said they were still working on them...so who knows.

On first pause, I thought "What the shit happened to Symbols?" But more than likely they're going to release that one later with Adios, I suppose.

It makes sense to hold out on re-releasing Symbols. Xtort and Nihil will sell the best I believe. They'll make good money off of those two and then sell the highly desired Symbols and lastly the not so desired Adios at the end. All of these cds were well produced so I doubt you'll be able hear many new things out of them. I'll be buying many of the Symbols shirts and a copy of the cd as mine has some wear to it. Its amusing that many things are coming out on my birthday this year (March 6th).

Nihil and Xtort have shipped evidently (got the bundle).
Really looking forward to Symbols and Adios. Hoping those come out soon enough.

I was in Best Scam last week and browsed through KMFDM cds and spread them out through the area as I always do and found one copy of the re-mastered Symbols. I bought the last copy of original release that a local Target had back in 1997 and ironically 10 years later I bought most likely the last copy of the re-release in Jax. I doubted it would sound much better but it does. Its sure worth buying if you don't have it already. If you're a die hard/hardcore then buy it if you have it already.
