I first heard his vocals and lyrics on the KMFDM - Symbols cd which were just great. I have since then bought most of his work on KMFDM, PIG, and other projects. His vocals, lyrics and stage presence are very unique, entertaining and interesting. People worship Trent Reznor and give him so much appreciation, appreciation he doesn't very appreciate or deserve. Raymond Watts hasn't gotten enough appreciation for his work, thats why I run RaymondWatts.com. Obviously no one else wanted to run that domain and no one wanted to take up this cause. From almost day one of starting RaymondWatts.com I have gotten a mad amount of traffic considering there are no other decent Raymond Watts sites online and basically no one promotes his work. I see a large fan base out there and I want to big them together, and show them they aren't alone.

"People worship Trent Reznor and give him so much appreciation, appreciation he doesn't very appreciate or deserve"
I couldnt disagree more. Trent Reznor is a great musician, and you have to give him that even if you dont particularly like his music. Why do you think that Trent doesnt appreciate the appreciation that his fans (including me) give him? He gives us fantastic cds, tours all the time, put out a VHS with tour footage/backstage footage, and music videos, and also an amazing DVD from the Fragile tour. I think him working his ass off to give his fans what they want, shows that he appreciates us. I think he deserves every good thing that happens to him in his life after all the work hes done for his fans.
Most people only found out about Raymond from KMFDM, who aren't a very well known by many people. And the people that do know about Raymond and his work do appreciate him.

Trent has lost his Fire which he originally had. After The Downward Spiral his music and fire has gone straight down hill. I saw him on the Fragile tour and I wasn't impressed. I ordered Woodstock 1994 and he was Awesome on that performance. I don't think Dave Grohl, Rick Rubin or anyone else for that matter could put enough gas on Trent's fire to make him capable of making any music close to The Downward Spiral or anything before it for that matter again.

I think trent got tired of being so goddamn angry all the time...i, on the other hand, love the fragile. but that's just me.

My Opinion is that a musician has to make the music he is in the mood for to do. How boring would it be if we had 5 records of Trent which would be similar like one egg to the other?! Trent did only awesome records and I decide to listen to Broken or the Downward Spiral if I'm upset or listen to Fragile or Still!!! which is my favorite Record by NIN (Leaving Hope is awesome) beneath The Fragile because both records create that big atmosphere of sound and make you get high . Even Raymond doesn't scream out his lungs on every record and seems to be angry like a Bull who was kicked right in his balls. But Raymond creates that dark sound and atmosphere like you are in a dark Industry Factory and his hypnotic voice (his stress and kind he speaks create this goose skin i mentioned ;-) )and the lyrics are unique. His music kicks ass'!

I got into PIG about four years ago, and it was not due to KMFDM or NIN. A friend played me ‘my sanctuary’ and I simply fell in love.
The best thing about PIG is his willingness to try something new and go out on a limb. He does not make music to become a superstar, but to express himself (and I am sure some money would be nice) and that defiantly earns points in my book.

I guess that I first heard <PIG> from the Black Box wax trax put out. I bought it because I like all the Ministry and KMFDM side projects that it had. From there KMFDM's Nihil came out and I heard JJJ from a CMJ sampler disc that had that song on it. After that I was hooked and started buying all the KMFDM and Pig CD's I could.

i heard about pig back in i think 8th grade, something like that, it was the damnedest thing, just read a little blurb online about him completely randomly, said something about lots of fire and pig heads on stage and described his music. it sounded good and i had an extra 20 so i went to the local sam goody, and for some reason they had one of his cd's. bought it and it was the best thing I've ever done. I instantly loved it. I guess I'm one of the only people who got into kmfdm because of pig. but anyway, I think i like pig so much cause of the variety of his music. the way he has so many different sounds but can pull them all together into some dark orchestra, or something like that. And he continually amazes me. each Seems to get better somehow.

I like many people found out about Raymond through KMFDM. For me it was when "Nihil" came out, and I have to say, his voice and lyrical choices really were the first thing that caught my ears.
As I've listened to more KMFDM and especially through my more recent delving into PIG, the textures Raymond has in his songs really make me feel like I hear a new element, a new layer with each listen. The replay value is very high, and with music nowadays it isn't easy to find an artist that holds up like that.
I think Raymond is sadly underrated and underheard and the fans of Nine Inch Nails, or Marilyn Manson that I'm sure would love PIG and just haven't heard of them are really missing out on a sonic education.
Raymond isn't just ear candy, it's an education, folks. I've played guitar for 14 years now, and I have to say for a while lately I haven't been eager to pick up my instrument, but Raymond's work with KMFDM and PIG makes me want to create, play...and dive in.
The best music is like that I think-it makes you want to express yourself as well.
