Yeah, I didn't think anybody was watching them.... So.... Since you are starting to promote them, I will begin to post bigger, better rants about shit.

Hi! My name is Tobias and I'm from Örebro, Sweden. I actually just started to listen to Pig a few months ago. I've been a KMFDM fan a long time and always really enjoyed Raymond's contributions, and I love the KMFDM / Pig split EP. I've been aware of Pig but didn't get into buying Pig CD's until recently...now I'm on my way to the complete collection...still a bit to go though. And...Pig is awesome!!! Can't believe I didn't start to listen to Pig earlier, but oh well, never to late? I'm 28 going on 29 and I'm a PhD-student in Business Administration. If you want more info on my record collection check www.flipcake.com, there's also a link there to my MySpace site where you'll find more info on me. Cheers!

Welcome Tobias I checked out your spamspace and its good to have another Butthole Surfers fan onboard here. Supposedly they're working on a new cd but no release date. I've yet to see them live and look forward to it someday.

What other bands are you seeking to see before you die?

Well, beside the Butthole Surfers and Pig...hmm...well, all the bands I listen to from Austin, Texas.
I have to go there some day...
Bands like:
Brown Whörnet Oh,Beast! Attack Formation Gorch Fock The Snake Trap Red X Red M
...to name a few. And Bleach from Japan would be nice!
Then there's bands that aren't really playing together anymore that would be nice to see if they ever did a show again.
A whole lot of bands really!

I have been a PIG fan since 1996. The first time I saw PIG play live was in November of '97, when he did double duty. Did an amazing opening set and then came back to perform with KMFDM.

Not naughty....just some mathematics (pretty boring, huh?) 2. I might know Swiney, but I will have to see if it's who I think it is before I say whether we've met or not 3. Sadly enough....I don't drink Guess I'm a pretty boring dude Hope I answered your questions to the fullest

Long time lurker here, finally decided to join and post. My name's Adrianna, I'm 16 (going on 17) and I've been a fan of Raymond's for a few years, now. Raymond is without a doubt one of the most talented musicians out there right now, and has always been criminally underrated and under-appreciated. It's so hard to find a musician as versatile as Watts is. Being that my family has a very musical background and I was raised and taught to appreciate and respect all forms of music, it is especially frustrating for me to know that someone like Raymond has been around for so long and has never received the recognition he deserves. He's always been WAY ahead of his time (Praise the Lard, anyone?) and his knack for blending and exploring all sorts of musical styles and meshing them together and making it work is truly something to respect. He is easily one of my biggest heroes and is someone who inspires me, as a musician. So that's why I love Raymond. Heh. Besides being a fan of all things Watts, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have been my favorite band since as long as I can remember, and I am a huge fan of Nine Inch Nails as well. I am an aspiring musician. Guitar is my main instrument, but I also play bass, drums, euphonium, and a bit of keyboard as well. I've got a few videos on my YouTube channel of me playing some KMFDM and Pig, if you care to check that out: www.youtube.com/user/MindCopMusic is my number one passion, but I also love to read. Chuck Palahniuk and Kurt Vonnegut are my favorite writers, but I'll read just about any book you put in my hands. I enjoy comic books/graphic novels as well, particularly Batman and anything by Alan Moore. Anyway, sorry for the life story. I'll hopefully be posting around here a lot in the future. I've been a member of The Swining boards for a while, but I've just now convinced myself to set up an account here.

Welcome "Long time lurker" Your screen name stuck out and the funky Batman avatar clicked. So I thought hey some good karma for this one before even the first post. We're glad you "finally decided to join and post."
Welcome Adrianna I found out about Raymond's work around your age as well. Your views on Raymond's ability and work are mutually appreciated by most members here and a few on theswining as well. You state he "has always been criminally underrated and under-appreciated" well after meeting him before a KMFDM gig in 2003 it struck my existance that there isn't a true website to promote his work and I'll be damned if I don't do a good job with the members here. I won't stop either as all other sites will die in time this site will be alive long after I die. I assure you that this site has helped to bring more eyes and ears to his work and gradually more of the world's population will give him the recognition that he deserves. You state "He's always been WAY ahead of his time (Praise the Lard, anyone?)" you're preaching the the Choir there sister. I buy the Australian (the real version) version of it whenever I can for a decent price on ebay. Its so well produced and fills a void in my truly vast music collection.
RHCP has some fun work, they're a blast live! Nine Inch Nails has some classics A Raymond VS Trent cd would be great. I'll check out your videos soon. If you do a cover of KMFDM, PIG or anything related to Raymond's work even just and inspired song I'll throw it on PIG radio.
Thanks for a true into to your life we like to know who the hell is on here instead of just seeing a lot of Thirsty Flies. The more you post the more us long term members will post. You state "but I've just now convinced myself to set up an account here." what convinced you to?

There isn't much discussion going on over at the Swining, it's a bit more active over here, and everyone here seems nicer. So I joined!

You are quite observant and a mighty good judge of character. We appreciate things like that on this board.
Whats going on in your weekend so far? Right now I'm sampling some of the dozen cds I'm borrowing from the library. I'm allowed to borrow up to 100 items at a time

Well, right now I'm actually sick. It sucks. I have to make a trip to the library soon as well, and pick up some books for a term paper I have to write for school.

What better way to spend healing time than by spending time on a Raymond Watts fan site? Are you a fan of libraries much? It is rare to find a good one but even more difficult to find someone that appreciates a good one. To me i'd rather read a book than sit and eat radiation from a TeeVee and let myself be programed on what I should consume/believe. I enjoy the freedom of choice in what I'm sold and marketed.

I agree wholeheartedly.
Yeah, I love libraries. I live right down the street from one. I applied for a job there over the summer, but sadly, I wasn't hired. I've been an avid reader since I was a young kid. Being a teenager in highschool, it's very frustrating of appreciation of a good book most of my peers have. But yeah, I could live at a library. Some of them even have some really hard to find films and CDs that you don't normally find in stores. Foreign films and such.

For about the last 10 years I've noticed that libraries are morphing into the same kind of feel as a modern style book store which is a good thing overall. It feels more like a place you can relax and spend time in, instead of feeling like a dusty old place where you must be quiet or an old lady will hit you with a ruler type of joint.
I wouldn't think much if anything of your peers as they're not much to consider in the first place. True peers are few and fair distanced on this planet. Sometimes they're a country away but thats why I made this site and still seek more peers world wide. Small towns & even big cities are so homogeneous of a culture...
