Lets look at this, first: www.switched.com/2009/09/08/endangered-pre-teens-update-facebook-status-instead-of-dialing-9/Now: I barely look at my Myspace, now. I refuse to Tweet and I dislike the privacy policy of Facebook. Have I covered all the social network sites out there? Eh, whatever. So, tonight had me worried about the future of people. I find this girl who's had a bit to drink and I end up escorting her down stairs to the lobby of the Night Club I work at. She wants to go out and find her friends, so I end up convincing her to call them because she's too drunk to walk back up them. What does she do? She goes to update her Facebook on her phone. I stop her, and remind her she needs to call them. Then I help her find her contacts and all is done. It puzzles me that the first thing she thought of was "I should update my Facebook to 'Too Drunk to walk!'" and not "I should call my friends to get me home!" Am I wrong to find this disturbing?

I would assume her friends would check her fb status just as often as she updates it.
Nowadays, social networking sites are replacing regular chat and even phones. Congratulations, you're now old. lol

Congratulations, you're now old. lol I still find it odd and kinda funny that the first thing she thought of was "Update facebook to tell them I'm too drunk to walk up and down stairs" and not "My friends have a cellphone. I should call them"

Hahahaha, I love the Rooster Teeth team. I've been a RvB fan since the early episodes.
