Mad. sexy. The new tracks sound more like PIG. I'll detail more later... My whole school lost power and internet is sporadic.

I preordered it, and now I got it. HUZZAH!
And now for ze review:
Tracks 1-10: So much clearer. Plays louder (in my opinion). Subtle little changes that give it more quality.
Track 11: "God Rod" Incase you haven't read about it already, it contains a great deal of the lyrics to the Schwein track, "Crown". I, personally, like this a bit more. Basically, he made a good track better. All three of these new tracks have that mambo "PIG" sound. Its great. Brings back memories of the old days.
Track 12: "On the Slaughterfront" I think this is my favorite of the three songs. Its very Praise the Lard sounding. I like the classic music contrast with the gruff, alchoholic voice that is Raymond. Mad sexy. Plus the chorus gets stuck in my head ALL DAMN DAY.
Track 13: "Filth Healer" This is an English version of "Yellow Pig" with Raymond lyrics. Who's is better? Personally, I love them both. I love the soft Japanese voice and syllables, but I love Raymond's voice too... so each is badass.
This CD was like good sex. I want more.

I think the most noticeable difference out of the first 10 tracks is Junky. The Watts version doesn't hold a candle to the Haloblack version, but I think the Pig version can compete with it. God Rod is definately my favorite out of the new 3. I don't like On the Slaughterfront a whole lot yet, but from what I hear, it is a track that grows on you.

When you get your copy queue up the watts tracks and the pigmata tracks at the same time. the difference between this and watts is rediculous. it's the way watts should have sounded, lots of thunder and bombast, not like it's coming from an AM radio in the center of the earth.
god rod - best new track. sounds like 'crown'. on the slaughterfront - everyone seems to like it a bunch, but i didn't. if i wanted to listen to tom waits... i would. filth healer - yellow pig fever
my god, this almost makes up for watts. if my watts wasn't signed and numbered i'd snap it in half and try to forget it.

It is wierd but good that Metropolis is shipping the pre-orders way before the release date. Thats the opposite of what "Grand" Recordings did. My cd was shipping 26th and arrived 28th I'm in England when it arrives though! I hope to see Raymond at the gig tonight in London that will make up for not hearing the new tracks yet.

the booklet just folds out. One side continues the stitches and the other is various pics of Raymond, similar to the pic on the promo poster

Its classic-PIG sounding, isn't it? I love them.
The first 10 tracks are definately cleaned up.... still not a fan of "junky" as well, but i do admit it sounds better.

the new mixes blow the old ones out of the water. literally no reason to ever pull out your watts cd ever again. this one's a keeper.
i hope he does something else relatively soon... an EP or something would be really sweet.

Is it me, or does the melody of Kudalini flow better?

okay, first it hasn't leaked. metropolis just sent it out early. yay for them. second, if you haven't ordered it then you should as soon as humanly possible. third, I agree that this makes the watts cd completely useless except as a collector's item or a coaster, or you could consider it a sampler cd for pigmata:) and last. zer0, I agree, kundalini does flow better. The first time I listened to it i could pick out more subtley in the music. more of the quiet noises, I could pick them out easier. And the subtley really brings out the song. or something like that. the whole cd is like that though, I think kundalini is one of the best examples of the remaster.

Okay, for those of you interested. I have written a little review of pigmata. I didn't review the stuff from pigmartyr really. but it might be a good read. it's posted on my live journal(yes I have a live journal)(yes, I sold my soul to the devil). Anyway, the address is www.livejournal.com/users/ivanthestampede/read it, tell me what you think.

With new kick ass releases by KMFDM and Foetus and Pig this year I've gotten over the disappointing turds dropped by NIN and Fear Factory.
This album will be stuck in my cd player for weeks, if not months.

I finally got to listen to Pigmata when I got home yesterday.
God Rod - Even though Raymond re-uses / modifies old lyrics I still enjoyed it and its still a PIG song to me.
On the Slaughterfront - Is a 100% PIG song that I enjoyed from start to finish.
Filth Healer - Yep most of the music is Yellow Pig minus the Mario Bro/NES type sounds about half way through. I'm glad this track was on here and in English due to the simple fact that Most PIG fans have never heard the Yellow PIG track.
The production of Watts was way better and up to PIG par.
Overall worth buying if you're a PIG fan. I bet Ray's got a good amount of material he's working on considering these 3 tracks are out now. Hopefully a full unique PIG release will come out next year.

There’s been a lot of talk lately – on forums and in the real world - about the improvement Pigmata makes over Pigmartyr and I really just wanted to add my views to the debate.
There’s no denying Pigmata has a far crisper sound. You can now hear all the bits and pieces going on in the background. Ray’s voice is much more distinguishable and you can actually hear the lyrics.
Pigmartyr does have some major weaknesses. It is far too quiet and a lot of the nuances of the sound is muffled and drowned out.
All that said, in places I find the re-mastered Pigmata a bit too clinical and dare I say it, overproduced. Some of the songs, sounded grittier and dirtier on Pigmartyr, and have lost some of the appeal in my opinion purely because they’ve been polished up a bit too much.
Does anyone else know what I’m getting at here?
All I’m really saying is that too many people have been saying that the Watts release is now little more than a coaster, but I reckon some tracks still sound better on this version. I just think there’s a place for both CDs in our collections.

I think the reissue rules, but only because it is clearer. I don’t think its overproduced, just an improvement on an awesome album.
The three new tracks are very nice, I didn’t like On The Slaughterfront at first, but it’s now my favourite of the new tracks. God Rod is what I really think is a great mix of what PIG is to me however, a little mambo, slick guitars and a smattering of Raymond.
