I just did a rant-blog on some shit (in letter-form.) Since HP finds my rants amusing, I decided to post them all here. The first of them is here:
Dear Fox Network,
I have been a loyal viewer ever since the Simpsons reached TV. Even though you guys have become the Republican scourges over the last few year, I still maintained being a loyal viewer. This is all but one show: "Two and a Half Men." This is the tale of Charlie Sheen playing the ONLY role he knows how to play (the pathetic man-whore) and his recently divorced brother and the brother's wise-ass kid. As the divorced brother slowly changes himself from being loyally married to being more and more like his brother, the youngest child picks up the behavior, and thinks it's perfectly acceptable to demean women and treat them as one-night stands.
I'm not trying to be a feminist, however, I do think media like this destroys the decades of women protesting to obtain some sort of equal right. I know the stero-typical family no longer exists. I am not trying to support the one-mommy, one-daddy ideal. I am saying that is morally degenerate to say that marriage and long-term relationships are worthless and should be avoided like the plague. I think these ideals are set in stone for a reason: to prevent broken hearts, jealousy, and the widespread of STD's. However, I can only assume that the writers for your company are stubborn divorced males that can only fantasize about getting laid this much... since that is the attitude of this show.
I hope you take this into consideration for the programming in the future, since not even 1,000 letters from concerned people like me will change what you air. Just let me leave stating this: Charlie Sheen is NOT an attractive man and only ugly women would sleep with him without some form of pay. Scumbag.
Sincerely,
Zer0
