Just saw on theswining.com that the tour is going to be postponed/cancelled. Not cool!

Here is the announcement...
My Fallow Hamericans:
The delivery of this sermon may cause some distress to you, as it has to me.
Much to my dismay, this morning, I was informed that one of my partners in swine must deal with a squeal in his personal sty, leaving us one trotter short of the whole hog. A pig can't fly when one's in the sty, so we've been forced to leave you in a state of porkus interruptus. And as our duties became deliverance, your expectation must become understanding. It's only a poke in the eye of the storm.
We will return, hard, loud and lard, to slam the ham with those yet untouched by the God of Gammon.
Keep a pig's eye out for the fiendish fruits of our labour thus far. A special thanks to all of those who have followed, helped and supported us - you know who you are... and we know where you live.
Love on ya.
Raymond Watts.

My opinion would be when the tour restarts to start in Florida again and then drive west from there. Tampa -> Orlando -> Jacksonville New Orleans Houston -> Dallas -> Austin and on and on

Thanks, HP. I was too distraught to even copy and paste. Bummer.

Over half of a tour is better than none at all. PIG is getting more promotion now than ever this decade. I have faith that the tour will start again and that most of the dates will good good instead of the PA ones. Honestly many fans in general are dissapointing. They make up weak excuses like gas money, driving distance, and when they're spending their time and money and generic things that aren't fulfilling. Its the diehards that this tour go smoothly and the fans that were into pig but just recently got fully into it.

If it starts up in Florida again I'll personally book a show here in Jacksonville and really have a pre-show party. In between tours there is a lot of merch to be sold online.

Indeed. I'll be happy to get my hands on some merch. Didn't get a chance to buy anything at the shows.

HP, you really are a relentless optimist.

Lets look at the progression of PIG this year. A new website, a myspace page, new merch online, a tour from june 5-28 and a fan base thats growing faster now than ever.
The tour started off with a bang in Floriduhhh of all places! Florida isn't known for giving a damn about anyone that is not popular but all 3 shows were successful. Atlanta was a great show and made up for there being no other shows in the state. The band line-up is just right but needs a new backup singer if thats going to continue on the new tour.
Another one month tour would be great this year. The long sleeve shirts would sell a lot better in the colder months The new tour would have a lot more time to promote.
The bottom line This isn't the biggest setback in PIG history. PIG will be in gear again soon.

Now for shits while they giggle I'll be the alternate universe HP. This would be my dumb ass persona on the sickcity in a parallel universe.
Hey Mr Watts I see how it is you want to fuck with us right! You know that most of us live in the UK or westcoast of America and that we already bought our tickets. You know what Raymond I won't ever buy your cds again. You don't deserve my american dollars.
(Poor sick kids I hope they someday get the right meds, their balls grow to correct size or they get the sex changes they desire)

Not even 48 hours before the concert was supposed to start when I heard this.
I'm red, raw and pissed.

That's gotta be a big financial blow... but I'm sure that won't stop the rest of the band.

This really sucks, not sure what to do?. Do I hold onto the ticket and hope that they honor it and be back or just take the ticket back for a refund. I was looking forward to this concert because I have never seen Pig live.

Keep your chin up... Raymond will give his heart and soul to the fans. And now that I've seen it in person, I can guarentee, he will be back.
... Okay... By "heart and soul," I mean, I stared at his crotch in those beatup pleather pants the entire concert. But I assume that's the same thing.

Here is an informative update Angel posted on theswining.com forums...
Fuck rumors. They're retarded... Jokes are cool though! Hahaha! People leaving the tour had nothing to do with why it was called off... The real reason the tour got canceled is because of the booking. There were too many holes. Too many days off. Just because there is a day off, doesn't mean it's a day off... It's still a lot of work. And money. Every day (even on days off), you need to pay for the bus, pay for the trailer, pay for the gas, pay the driver, pay for the drivers hotel, pay for food, pay the band, pay the crew, and pay for anything else you can think of. That shit adds up... With a lot of days off, and no money coming in on those days, we lost a lot of money. Every tour is like that. Money, money, money. It costs a lot to do a tour right. And PIG wanted to do it right! Looking forward into the tour, there is a break where we would have had an entire week off. That's a ton of money lost. Money we wouldn't get back. It sux... But it's the truth. So we decided to cancel the rest of the tour... Nothing against the agent though, so please don't take it like that. PIG will re-group soon enough. With more money and a better tour routing. You will not be dissapointed!!! Laterz... Angel

Hmm... that's a bit different than the reason posted everywhere else... but I'm not going to spread rumors and bullshit and speculate answers that still get me the same unknowning result. I will sit here and wait patiently for the glory of the PIG to return... And jump up and down with much loudness and excitement if they pass near NY or New England again.

it had nothing to do with guenter. just let it go... the reasons aren't entirely important, just know everyone and their families are ok.

You seem to have alot more gigs going on although its propably only because the USA is about a million times larger than our little isle. Fingers crossed that we can all partake in jollyness at the hands of the Pork-ster !
